Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachary Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne Perkins has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn throws the left hand but Perkins avoids the punch easily.
Flynn tries to clinch there but Perkins circles away.
Flynn misses with a takedown attempt - Perkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Flynn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Perkins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flynn won't be happy with that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Flynn looking for a sweep but Perkins has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Flynn tries to buck Perkins off but he can't manage it.
Flynn has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Perkins's lack of action.

Perkins jumps guard but Flynn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Perkins takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Flynn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Flynn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Perkins defends it well.

Perkins decides to stand up, so the ref orders Flynn to his feet.

Perkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Perkins has closed the distance and engaged Flynn in a clinch.
Flynn has Perkins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Perkins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Flynn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Flynn doesn't manage to clinch there - Perkins circles away.
Perkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Flynn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Flynn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perkins pinned against the cage. Perkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wayne Perkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zachary Flynn.
Flynn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Perkins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Flynn somewhat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wayne Perkins will probably get the nod.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Perkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
