The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silveira misses with a takedown attempt

and Madadi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Silveira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Madadi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Silveira is rocked!
Madadi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Silveira is still in real trouble! Can Madadi finish him?
Silveira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Madadi controls the pace.
Madadi connects with a couple of short punches.
Madadi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silveira on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Madadi gets to his feet and stands over Silveira, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Silveira felt that one! Madadi unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Silveira from any more punishment!
