Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avery Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rickson Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a takedown attempt
and Gracie counters with a left and a right that stings Carter.

Carter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Gracie.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gracie content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Carter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie has hold of Carter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Carter seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Carter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Carter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
