Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Takeya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Baumgartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baumgartner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Takeya as he jumps to the side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Takeya shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baumgartner's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Baumgartner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Baumgartner wants to hit a switch here but Takeya passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Baumgartner there!

Baumgartner is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Takeya defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

It looks like Baumgartner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Baumgartner has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Takeya has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Takeya changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Baumgartner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Baumgartner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Takeya defends well.

Baumgartner swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Takeya is now in Baumgartner's guard. A big mistake from Baumgartner there, giving up the dominant position!
