Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Romeo Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Capt Letseng Atay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Paris has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Atay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Atay is stalling here. Paris is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Atay seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Paris has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Paris jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Atay manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Paris scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Atay to see if he's OK.

Paris tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paris has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Paris is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Atay looks calm but he's in trouble here. Paris gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Atay is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Paris lets go of the hold and Atay can pop his arm back in it's socket.
