The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eddy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dugan's head backwards.

Dugan moves into the clinch.
Eddy is trying to push Dugan away but Dugan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nice body punch from Eddy - that landed with a thud.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dugan misses with an elbow strike.
Eddy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dugan backwards.
A right hand to the body from Eddy.
Dugan is breathing heavily.
Eddy presses Dugan against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Eddy misses with a body punch.
Eddy is looking to break free of the clinch but Dugan has double underhooks.
Eddy tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dugan's elbow.
Eddy digs a right hand into Dugan's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Dugan's gas tank.

Eddy drops Dugan with a big right hand! Eddy charges in looking to finish - Dugan manages to keep Eddy in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.

It looks like Wade Dugan has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
