The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zilla.
Zilla throws a head kick but Hercules moves out of range.
Hercules throws a lazy right hand but Zilla sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zilla connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hercules misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zilla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hercules but Hercules pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hercules throws a half hearted mid kick.
Zilla fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hercules manages to avoid it.
Zilla is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hercules.
Hercules connects with an inside leg kick.
Hercules scores with a kick to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - Hercules finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Zilla shoots in looking for a takedown but Hercules manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zilla's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Zilla closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zilla lands in his opponent's guard.
Hercules wants to sweep here but Zilla controlling him for the moment.
Hercules knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zilla on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zilla forces his way into half guard.
Hercules is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zilla's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zilla's back!

Zilla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hercules can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zilla escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hercules gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hercules decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hercules closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Zilla shoots in and drives through. Hercules sprawls well.
