The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Gramacho sneaks back into half guard.
Cross content to control rather than advance.
Gramacho is pressing down on Cross's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Cross is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gramacho is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gramacho has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gramacho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cross keeps working.

Cross is defending against the submission attempts here by Gramacho.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gramacho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cross's guard.
Cross is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gramacho's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gramacho's back!

Cross is looking to control Gramacho but Gramacho is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Gramacho is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

You can see the frustration on Gramacho's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Gramacho manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cross's guard. Nice work there by Gramacho.

Cross has his foot on Gramacho's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gramacho works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Cross closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gramacho moves into full guard.

Cross drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gramacho manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cross has Gramacho in his guard.

Gramacho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cross with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Cross wants to finish this one by submission but Gramacho is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cross.

Cross is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gramacho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Cross looking to control but Gramacho is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cross sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Cross is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gramacho is surviving well by controlling Cross's body position as best he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gramacho holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cross tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Gramacho tries to lock up and control but Cross gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cross goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gramacho turns into him and now he's in Cross's guard.

Cross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Janus Cross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Gramacho fails with the takedown

and Cross counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gramacho won't be happy with that.

Cross tries to score with some ground and pound. Gramacho controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Cross advances to mount.
Cross tries to control but Gramacho wriggling away.
Gramacho is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cross is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Gramacho feints and as Cross raises his hands in defense, Gramacho changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cross wants to sweep but no luck.

Cross has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gramacho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cross has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gramacho should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cross has tightened it up now! Gramacho should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
