Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doge Cat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyron Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doge Cat!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randall has managed to clinch.

Randall gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Randall connects with a nice short shot to Cat's temple.
Cat wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randall perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Randall is pressing down on Cat's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cat is holding on for now.

Randall is trying to work for a kimura but Cat is defending well.
Cat wants to control but Randall is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cat blocking the ground and pound attempt from Randall.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Randall in particular looking to stall.
Randall is looking to advance position but Cat won't allow it.

Randall seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Cat wants to improve his position but Randall is controlling well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cat is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyron Randall wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Randall counters with a single leg into guard. Cat didn't expect that.
Randall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Randall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cat's guard.

Randall breaks from Cat's wrist control and lands an elbow.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Randall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Cat tries to keep at a distance but Randall has taken the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Randall's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Randall misses with an elbow over the top.
Cat jumps guard but Randall turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Cat can't break the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Randall creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Randall displaying some good clinch control by pressing Cat up against the cage.
Randall lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Randall looking to throw knees to the head but Cat is blocking nicely.

Randall wants the takedown. Cat is fighting it off but Randall persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cat's guard against the cage.
Cat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Randall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cat is proving hard to escape from.

Randall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cat, up you get!
Cat tries for a takedown but Randall circles away easily
and Randall counters with a series of strikes. Cat will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Randall moves into the clinch.
Tyron Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doge Cat.
Cat is breathing heavily.

Randall has Cat pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Randall pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cat tumbling to the mat - Randall dives into Cat's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Randall wants to stand but Cat is controlling his posture from full guard.

Randall stays in close to Cat's body and controls the position.
Randall makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Randall controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tyron Randall just wasn't active enough.

Randall looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Randall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Randall sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Randall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Randall passes Cat's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Randall tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cat controls his leg.

Cat is defending against the submission attempts here by Randall.
Randall is taking a breather. Cat says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Randall moves into full mount! Cat won't be happy about that!
Randall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyron Randall dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Randall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tyron Randall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Randall attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Cat shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Randall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Randall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Randall passes the guard and advances to mount!

Cat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Randall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cat for as long as he can get away with.
Randall lands a big shot there that rocks Cat but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Randall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cat can do to turn this around?
Cat tries to hold on but Randall pushes him away.

Randall is working for a guillotine from mount but Cat frees his head quite easily.

Randall gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Randall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cat. Cat obviously looking to wear him down.

Cat gets caught flat footed, as Randall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tyron Randall.
Randall looks to land a combination but Cat avoids it well.

Randall rushes Cat and presses him up against the cage.

Randall jumps into guard, dragging Cat to the mat.
Randall pulls Cat in close to prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cat won't allow Randall to sweep him here.
Randall has control of Cat's left arm, preventing Cat from doing any damage.
Randall tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Randall rushes Cat and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Randall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Doge Cat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyron Randall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Randall has Cat up against the cage in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyron Randall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Randall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
