Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Ehmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johns comes into the arena with This could be the night blaring out of the sound system. Ehmann has chosen Muse- Knights of Cydonia as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. James Johns has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Ehmann!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ehmann takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Johns walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ehmann checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Ehmann drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ehmann stops Johns from standing up.

Johns pushes Ehmann off and gets back to his feet.
Ehmann tries to close the distance and clinch but Johns swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ehmann shoots in and drives through. Johns sprawls well.

Johns bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ehmann tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ehmann on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johns lands a few punches from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johns cracks Ehmann with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Ehmann takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Johns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Johns stands up.
Ehmann is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Johns.
Johns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ehmann as he jumps to the side.
Ehmann stuffs the takedown attempt from Johns. Johns gets slowly back to his feet.
Ehmann takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Ehmann connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Johns's hands.
Johns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Johns. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ehmann circles away from the clinch attempt

and Ehmann counters with a single leg into guard. Johns didn't expect that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Ehmann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ehmann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ehmann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johns is on top in guard.

Johns knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ehmann on the ground.

Ehmann has his foot on Johns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johns works his way back into a safe position though.

Johns decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ehmann, up you get!

Johns scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Johns throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johns throws a series of strikes that have Ehmann backpedaling.
Ehmann fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck for Ehmann with that takedown attempt.

Johns shoots in and bounces Ehmann off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Johns has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ehmann is proving hard to escape from.
Johns postures up and lands a big shot to Ehmann's brow.

Johns is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ehmann has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Johns is looking to defend but Ehmann has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Johns! Ehmann pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Johns taps out and this one is all over!
