Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alphonse Tchami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alphonse Tchami will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tchami scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Wood throws a sloppy head kick
and Tchami counters with an outside leg kick.
Wood takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Tchami avoids a kick to the body.
Alphonse Tchami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wood fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tchami manages to avoid it.
Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tchami moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tchami is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tchami has Wood pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Wood is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Tchami - that's hurt Wood badly! Oh, another knee lands and Wood is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Wood doesn't seem to be complaining.
