Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ja Masterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Masterson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hyena -by- Rancid. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ja Masterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Burns!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns blocks a jab.
Masterson loads up on a big right hand but Burns slips the punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Burns.
A head kick misses from Masterson.
Burns slips under a jab from Masterson.
Masterson misses with a left hand
and Burns counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burns in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Burns accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
My spies in netgear27 inform me that Burns has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Masterson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burns is controlling him.
Masterson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Burns throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns lands a couple of digs.
Burns throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Masterson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Burns preventing the sweep.
Burns working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Masterson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Masterson wants to hit a switch here but Burns passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Masterson there!
Masterson is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burns lands a couple of good shots and Masterson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Masterson is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at MMA Gods - 16 Elites! + Roger Gracie, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Masterson is trying to remain composed but Burns is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Burns has Masterson flattened out and is raining down punches.
Burns cracks Masterson with a big shot to the side of the head Masterson is covering up - he's in big trouble! Burns connects with another shot that knocks Masterson out cold! Burns stands above his unconscious opponent and soaks up the roars from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Carl Burns!
Carl Burns very nearly forgot to thank 10th Degree Fightwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
