PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Sidorenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexei Sidorenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexei Sidorenko!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sidorenko is trying to defend but White finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

White seems to be looking for submissions.
White works his foot free and advances to mount.

White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sidorenko defends it easily.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting White here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank White will probably get the nod.
