The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy tries to clinch

and Blake holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hardy darts in looking for a takedown but Blake gets double underhooks and turns Hardy into the cage.
Blake tries to land knees in the clinch but Hardy avoids the damage to the body.

Blake has clasped his hands together around Hardy's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Blake tries to get to his feet but Hardy is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Blake in his guard.
Hardy thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Blake wanted to stand there but Hardy had control of the position.
Hardy tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hardy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blake's guard.

Hardy wants to stand but Blake is controlling his posture from full guard.

Blake throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hardy uses it to pass to side control.
Blake tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Hardy looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Blake is squirming around, avoiding Hardy's attempts to control the action.
Blake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hardy on the ground.

Hardy throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Blake has his hands clasped together but Hardy breaks the hold and Blake is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hardy!
