Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rueben Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: game of death theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rueben Ramos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Max Lee!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ramos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lee should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee looks to clinch
and Ramos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ramos shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Ramos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramos swivels and escapes.

Ramos closes the distance and clinches.
Lee stalling.
Lee is trying to pull guard but Ramos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Rueben Ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Lee.
Ramos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ramos pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Ramos lands a hook that snaps the head of Lee backwards.

Lee jumps guard but Ramos stands there with Lee around his waist. Lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ramos dives on top into guard.
Lee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ramos's guard.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramos pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.

Ramos looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ramos is pulling down on Lee's head to control his posture.

Ramos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Ramos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ramos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ramos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rueben Ramos wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lee wants to clinch up but Ramos keeps it at a distance.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Ramos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ramos throws a wild body kick that Lee sees coming a mile off.

Ramos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Ramos counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ramos gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.

Ramos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Ramos, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Ramos against the cage but Ramos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ramos.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Ramos circles away.

Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ramos, pushing him back against the cage.
Lee tries to pull guard but Ramos holds him up against the cage and eventually Lee drops back down to his feet.
Ramos is trying to drag Lee to the mat but Lee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ramos gets underhooks to prevent Lee's takedown attempt.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Ramos goes for a takedown attempt but Lee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Max Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ramos darts in looking for a takedown but Lee gets double underhooks and turns Ramos into the cage.
Lee drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ramos pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Ramos counters by clinching up.
Ramos tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ramos controlling the action here for a moment.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ramos for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Lee pulls guard successfully.
Ramos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
Ramos is working hard here to advance position.
Ramos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rueben Ramos.
Ramos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lee.
Ramos catches Lee with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ramos forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.

Ramos successfully pulls guard.
Ramos is pulling down on Lee's head to control his posture.
Ramos wants to sweep but no luck.
Lee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Ramos manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ramos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lee.
Lee goes for a double leg but Ramos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ramos continues to drive forward.
Ramos wants to break free but Lee has control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Ramos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Ramos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lee defends well and Ramos ends up having to push Lee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Lee is trying to break free.
Lee jumps guard but Ramos stands there with Lee around his waist. Lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ramos keeps control of Lee as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lee has Ramos pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ramos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ramos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ramos wants to sweep but no luck.

Lee wants to stand but Ramos is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ramos manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lee is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Lee wants to control but Ramos is having none of it.

Ramos is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lee to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lee shrugs it off.
Ramos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rueben Ramos showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
