Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva swinging wildly here.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Gruber throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Silva counters with a nice body shot.
Gruber throws a right and a left that both miss.
Good exchange - Gruber coming out on top.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gruber changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva looks winded!

Gruber gets a clinch.
Gruber makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gruber working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Gruber is trying to break free.
Silva has Gruber pressed against the cage, preventing Gruber from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gruber.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gruber has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Silva is trapped and Gruber is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gruber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva takes a big shot to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is taking a good look at Silva as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Gruber!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gruber throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Silva!

Silva is rocked!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Gruber lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Silva hold on?!
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Gruber finish him?

Gruber is cranking Silva's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Silva! He's tightened the choke and Silva is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hans Gruber!
