Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nir Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Siegel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nir Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benjamin Siegel!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siegel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sosa manages to avoid it.
Siegel tries a head kick but it misses.
Sosa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice uppercut lands for Sosa. That snapped Siegel's head back.
Siegel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sosa moves away.
Sosa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Training Ground in the buildup to the fight.
Sosa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Siegel manages to avoid it.
Siegel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sosa's hands.
Sosa throws out a powerful jab.
Siegel keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Siegel looks to land a right hand but Sosa moved out of range.
Siegel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Siegel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Siegel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Siegel lands a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sosa throws a leg kick which misses Siegel's front leg but catches the back leg as Siegel tries to avoid it.
Siegel throws a sloppy head kick

and Sosa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Siegel's guard now.
Sosa passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sosa wants to control but Siegel is keeping him busy.
Siegel trying to control from the bottom.
Sosa stops Siegel from getting back to his feet.

Sosa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sosa blocks the strikes from Siegel.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sosa with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Siegel is doing well to control the position and prevent Sosa from advancing to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sosa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Siegel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sosa prevents Siegel from improving his position.
Siegel is trying to maintain the position but Sosa is very close to passing his half guard.
Siegel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Siegel is trying to control but can't.
Siegel flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Siegel is refusing to be controlled, as Sosa sits in half guard.
Siegel is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Benjamin Siegel was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Siegel looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Sosa scores with a jab to the head.
Siegel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Siegel misses with a low kick.
Sosa tries to land a front kick but Siegel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Siegel looks to throw a body kick

and Sosa counters with a single leg into guard. Siegel didn't expect that.


Siegel is rocked!
Sosa's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Siegel is still in real trouble! Can Sosa finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sosa postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Siegel covers up, he's hurt! Sosa keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sosa and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sosa can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nir Sosa!
