PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Czeplak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Negredo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Czeplak comes into the arena with Do przodu Polsko blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Krzysztof Czeplak has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Krzysztof Czeplak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felix Negredo!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Negredo gets tackled into the cage by Czeplak. Czeplak maintains the clinch.
Negredo working aggressively here.
Czeplak is trying to break free.
Czeplak is trying to push Negredo away but Negredo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Negredo jumps into guard, dragging Czeplak to the mat.

Negredo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Czeplak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Czeplak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Czeplak connects with a couple of short punches.

Negredo is looking for a triangle but Czeplak pushes his legs off easily.
Czeplak wants to get up but he can't break Negredo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Negredo wants to get back to his feet but Czeplak is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Negredo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Czeplak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Krzysztof Czeplak has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Czeplak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Negredo's guard.

Czeplak is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at **CENTRUM GYM** that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Negredo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Negredo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Czeplak is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Negredo is looking for a triangle but Czeplak pushes his legs off easily.
Negredo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Czeplak tries to roll over but Negredo keeps him under control.
Negredo content to control rather than advance.

Negredo wants to advance to full mount but Czeplak doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Negredo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Czeplak looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Negredo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Czeplak manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Negredo can do anything to dispel that myth.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Felix Negredo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Negredo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are getting on Negredo's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Czeplak's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Czeplak wants the takedown. Negredo is fighting it off but Czeplak persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Negredo's guard against the cage.

Negredo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Czeplak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Negredo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
