Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jet Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jet Chan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Valentine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Chan!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Valentine has his takedown stuffed

and Chan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chan.
Valentine stalling in the clinch but Chan improves position.

Chan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Valentine moves in looking to clinch but Chan pushes him off.
Chan moves out of range of the body kick from Valentine.
Valentine fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Valentine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Valentine darts in trying to clinch

and Chan counters with a single leg into guard. Valentine didn't expect that.
Chan trying to control but Valentine is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valentine had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chan defends it easily.
Chan with a flurry of punches that miss.

Chan throws a big elbow that misses.
Chan postures up.
Chan stays in close to Valentine's body and controls the position.

Valentine is looking for a triangle but Chan pushes his legs off easily.
Valentine can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chan controls the pace.
Chan trying to control but Valentine is working from the bottom.
Chan pushing down on Valentine's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Valentine is not content to let Chan control the position.
Chan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Valentine tries to get to full guard but Chan has control of the leg.
Valentine is trying to stand up here but Chan is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Valentine gets full guard.
Chan controlling from the top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chan passes Valentine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valentine is not content to let Chan control the position.
Chan passes the guard and advances to mount!
Valentine is looking to get to half guard.
Valentine is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Valentine is squirming around, avoiding Chan's attempts to control the action.
Chan with shots to the head and body - Valentine looks very uncomfortable down there.
Chan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Valentine is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chan controlling his opponent.
Valentine throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jet Chan dominated that round.
That's time! Valentine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Chan misses with a hook to the body

and Valentine counters by moving into the clinch.

Chan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Valentine misses with a head kick.

Chan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Valentine's guard.

Chan gets to his feet - Valentine follows without any prompting.
Valentine closes the distance but Chan moves to the side
and Chan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Chan shoots in but Valentine avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Valentine circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valentine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Valentine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chan but Chan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Valentine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Valentine swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Chan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch but Valentine swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jack Valentine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Chan.
Valentine shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chan counters with a slapping leg kick.
Valentine shoots in looking for a takedown. Chan tries to sprawl out of it but Valentine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Valentine doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chan counters with a solid body kick.

Chan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chan is trying to control. Valentine wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chan sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Chan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valentine with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chan controlling the action here.

Chan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Chan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chan trying to control from half guard but Valentine is working away.
Chan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Chan is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Valentine is trying to get back to full guard.
Valentine trying to hold on to Chan's head to control him but Chan postures up.
Valentine is staying active underneath Chan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Let's hope that Chan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jet Chan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Chan goes for a double leg but Valentine avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valentine continues to drive forward.

Chan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chan wants to clinch.
Valentine tries to clinch but Chan moves out of range.
Valentine has a takedown stuffed.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Valentine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Valentine thows a leg kick but Chan checks it
and Chan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jet Chan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Valentine shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chan pinned against the cage. Chan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A head kick by Valentine misses

and Chan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valentine is in trouble now - Chan has advanced to mount!

Chan controlling his opponent.
Chan wants to control the pace but Valentine is squirming around nicely.
Valentine tries to hold on but Chan postures up.
Valentine is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Chan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Chan controlling the pace for now.
Chan landing punches.
Chan scoring with strikes but Valentine is staying in there.
Valentine is trying to escape the mount.
Chan scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Chan with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Chan avoids the attempt from Valentine to control.

Chan content just to control the position here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Valentine is trying desperately to improve position.
Jack Valentine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jet Chan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jet Chan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Chan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
