The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cumberdale dives in and scores a takedown into Cena's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Cumberdale drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cena looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cena looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cena!
Cumberdale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cena. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cumberdale is wriggling around trying to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cumberdale can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cumberdale defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cena.
Cena controlling the position easily from mount.
Cena has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cumberdale wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
