Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zachariah Newman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arthur Klychko!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Newman shoots in and gets a takedown into Klychko's guard.
Klychko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Newman controls from within his opponent's guard.

Newman gets to his feet. Klychko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Newman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Klychko takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Newman decides to stand back up. Newman steps back and let's Klychko get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Newman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Newman throws a hook but Klychko avoids it easily.
No luck for Newman with that takedown attempt.

Newman clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Klychko gets underhooks to prevent Newman's takedown attempt.

Newman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Klychko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Newman working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Newman taking a breather here.

Newman stands up.

Klychko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Newman controlling from the top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Newman drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Newman as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Klychko screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Newman! Nice submission victory there!
