Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Hitchenfrog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner comes into the arena with Metallica's Ride The Lightning blaring out of the sound system. Bruce Alvarez Banner is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitchenfrog tries to clinch but Banner moves out of range.
Hitchenfrog throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Banner.
Banner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Banner counters with a stiff right hand.
Albert Hitchenfrog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hitchenfrog sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Banner blocks a head kick by Hitchenfrog.
Banner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hitchenfrog.
Banner has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sydney Elite Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Banner misses the shot to the body.
Banner thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hitchenfrog throws a head kick but Banner moves out of range.
Hitchenfrog blocks a jab.
Hitchenfrog throws a sloppy head kick and Banner moves out of range easily.
Hitchenfrog walks into a left hand.
Hitchenfrog tries to clinch up but Banner circles away and keeps his distance.
Hitchenfrog closes the distance and clinches.
Banner has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hitchenfrog after a bit of a struggle.
Banner goes for a takedown attempt but Hitchenfrog pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Banner clobbers Hitchenfrog with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Banner swats away the attempt to clinch by Hitchenfrog.
Nice defenses there by Hitchenfrog.
Hitchenfrog moves forwards but Banner connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Banner counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hitchenfrog told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Hitchenfrog has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Banner has passed into side control.

Banner looks up at the clock and then as Hitchenfrog takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Banner smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hitchenfrog is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Banner has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hitchenfrog is looking to regain half guard here but Banner keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Banner lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hitchenfrog regains full guard. Nicely done.
Hitchenfrog utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Banner throws an elbow that misses. Hitchenfrog uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Banner's guard. Nice move by Hitchenfrog!
Hitchenfrog is looking to stand up but Banner won't let him.
Hitchenfrog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hitchenfrog content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Banner has locked up a guillotine! Banner's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hitchenfrog is holding on here and Banner must be using up a lot of energy. Hitchenfrog has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Banner gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
