The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Duncan is fending him off so far but Griffen persists. Nope, Duncan circles away and we're back to standing.
Griffen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Griffen wants it to stay on the feet.
Duncan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Duncan somewhat.

so Griffen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Duncan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Griffen passes Duncan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Duncan wants to control the action here but instead Griffen manages to pass to full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Griffen tries to control but Duncan wriggling away.
Duncan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Griffen cracks Duncan with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
