The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciocanescu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ciocanescu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at IMMA Gym of ASS in the buildup to the fight.

Demi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ciocanescu quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Demi working over Ciocanescu with some ground and pound. Ciocanescu looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Demi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ciocanescu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Demi connects with a nice short shot to Ciocanescu's temple.

Demi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Demi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ciocanescu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Demi on the ground.
Demi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Demi looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ciocanescu wants to stand back up but Demi manages to pass into side control.
Demi has control of an arm but Ciocanescu manages to advance to Demi's back!
Ciocanescu doesn't have the hooks in and Demi manages to turn into his guard.
Demi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
