Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Flint Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman has chosen Got Money as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Flint Marko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 31 - 3, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marko on the side of the head.

Marko tries to sprawl but Coleman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Marko's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coleman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coleman's back!
Coleman is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Marko off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Marko throwing sloppy strikes.
Marko is throwing shots to the body but Coleman manages to wriggle free. Marko pounces on him again and ends up in Coleman's guard.
Marko won't allow Coleman to sweep him here.

Coleman is adopting a defensive guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coleman is trying to keep Marko in close.
Marko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Coleman's head.
Coleman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Marko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Coleman is pulling down on Marko's head. It's preventing any offense from Marko, at least for the moment.
Coleman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Coleman is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Coleman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Coleman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Coleman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marko on his heels. He'll look to pass Marko's guard now, I'm sure.
Coleman lands a couple of digs.
Coleman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Marko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coleman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Marko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Coleman trying to control but Marko is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Coleman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Marko to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Coleman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Marko pulls down on the head and he's put Coleman to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Flint Marko!
Flint Marko was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
