Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikey Kim!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent dodges the punch combination from Kim.
Kim connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kent blocks a head kick by Kim.
Kent scores with a nice head shot.
Kim ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kent misses with a looping left.
Kim takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kent tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kent misses with a hook.
Kent misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kim scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kent in his tracks.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kim has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kim thumps Kent with a low kick.
Kent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.
Peter Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A big left from Kent misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kim.
Kent tries to clinch there but Kim circles away.
Kim scores with a nice body kick.
Kim throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kim.
Kent walks into a left hand.
Kim throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kent throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kim stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kent throws a hook but Kim avoids it easily.
Kim lands a head kick. Kent smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kim lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kim uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kent.
Kim connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kent has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kim.

Kent closes the distance and clinches.
Kent takes an elbow to the forehead.
Kim misses with an elbow over the top.
Kent is trying to break the clinch but Kim has him pressed against the cage.
Kent blocks an elbow strike from Kim.

Kent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kim misses with a few strikes there.
Kent moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Kent throws a nice looking combination but Kim bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kent misses with a series of wild punches.
Kent on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kim. Kim obviously looking to wear him down.
Donk. Kim catches Kent right on the button with a cross.
Kent thows a body shot but no joy.
Kim bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kim is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kent had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Kim lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kent takes a step back to recover.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kent tries to move into range but Kim moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim scores with a nice head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kent misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kent takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Kim has closed the distance and engaged Kent in a clinch.
Kim throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kim creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Kent is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Kent escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kent with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kim to score with a decent uppercut.

and Kim counters by moving into the clinch.

Kim comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kim lands a knee to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jeez, Peter Kent's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peter Kent's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

During a confident post fight interview, Mikey Kim thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
