The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowens tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kinney moves into the clinch.
Bowens can't break the clinch.

Kinney has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bowens clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Bowens trying to get back to his feet but Kinney is in full control for now.
Kinney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kinney is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

What can Bowens do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kinney's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Bowens blocks an elbow strike from Kinney.

Bowens jumps guard and drags Kinney to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kinney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bowens is looking to stand up but Kinney isn't so interested in that idea.
Kinney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bowens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bowens is wriggling around but Kinney manages to pass to half guard.
Kinney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bowens keeps working.
