The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxhorn misses with a combination
and Hickman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Boxhorn looks to land a combination but Hickman avoids it well.
Hickman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Boxhorn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hickman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boxhorn is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hickman shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxhorn sprawls well. He's pushed Hickman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hickman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boxhorn is fending him off so far but Hickman persists. Nope, Boxhorn circles away and we're back to standing.
