Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sherwood Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan McGraf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allan McGraf has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevenson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McGraf on his heels. He'll look to pass McGraf's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

McGraf looking for a guillotine here but Stevenson defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sherwood Stevenson.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McGraf enables Stevenson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McGraf manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sherwood Stevenson.

McGraf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stevenson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

McGraf has his foot on Stevenson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stevenson works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Stevenson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

McGraf shoots and misses

and Stevenson moves into the clinch.
McGraf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stevenson walks away with a smile on his face. McGraf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McGraf prevents a takedown attempt there.
Stevenson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McGraf tries to pull guard but Stevenson holds him up against the cage and eventually McGraf drops back down to his feet.

Stevenson wants to get up but he can't break McGraf's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Stevenson throws an elbow that misses. McGraf uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stevenson's guard. Nice move by McGraf!
Stevenson controls McGraf momentarily but McGraf frees himself.

McGraf wants to control from the top but Stevenson keeps moving.

McGraf passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

McGraf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stevenson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McGraf wants to stand but Stevenson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Allan McGraf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Stevenson falls off balance throwing a combination
and McGraf counters with a series of strikes. Stevenson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Stevenson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McGraf tries for a takedown but Stevenson circles away easily

and Stevenson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

McGraf pulls Stevenson in close to his closed guard and prevents Stevenson from doing any damage or advancing position.

We're going to have a standup here because Sherwood Stevenson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
McGraf throws a head kick but Stevenson moves out of range.

McGraf feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McGraf throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stevenson escapes and throws McGraf's legs to the side, diving into side control!
