The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yotsuba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hopkins.
Hopkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hopkins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yotsuba.
Hopkins stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hopkins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Yotsuba.
Yotsuba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Yotsuba takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hopkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Yotsuba.
Hopkins uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yotsuba has time to react.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yotsuba gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hopkins misses with a hook. Yotsuba ducked under it nicely.

Hopkins looks to land a right hand but Yotsuba moved out of range.

Yotsuba seems to have recovered his senses.
Hopkins lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Yotsuba backs up against the cage.

Hopkins keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hopkins throws a body punch but Yotsuba moves out of range.

Yotsuba throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hopkins sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Hopkins lands a lovely overhand right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yotsuba throws a lazy right hand but Hopkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hopkins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yotsuba.
Hopkins fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yotsuba looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A big right from Hopkins misses.
Yotsuba ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hopkins ducks under a wild hook from Yotsuba.
A jab lands there for Hopkins.
Hopkins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yotsuba moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hopkins lands with a good body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hopkins scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hopkins moves away from the strike by Yotsuba.
The fighters circling - Yotsuba throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yotsuba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hopkins is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Hopkins drops Yotsuba with a beautiful combination! Yotsuba stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hopkins is looking for the KO!
Vinny Hopkins is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hopkins seems to be stalking Yotsuba here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Yotsuba drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
