Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luis Alberto Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes into the arena with Gangnam Style by PSY blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Luciano's choice of entrance music: The Mechanic. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luciano scores with a nice head shot.
Luciano lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Luciano gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Luciano avoids the head kick by Perez.
Perez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Luciano.
A clash of legs there as Perez blocks the low kick.
Luciano's corner calls for a 1-2. Luciano obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Perez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Luciano feints and then cracks Perez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perez down.

Perez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've been informed that Luciano has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Luciano feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Perez's calf.

Luciano tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Perez is able to avoid easily.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Luciano paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Perez slips a straight right by Luciano.
Luciano has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Perez is looking to land body kicks.
Perez misses the shot to the body.
Perez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Luciano.
Luciano dodges the punch combination from Perez.
Perez throws a leg kick but Luciano checks it.

Luciano connects with a right hand. Perez shakes it off.
Perez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Luciano fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Perez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Perez tries to land a front kick but Luciano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Luciano scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Luciano is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Perez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Perez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Perez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Luciano sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Luciano lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Oh Perez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Perez moves out of range of the strikes.
Perez switches off momentarily and Luciano cracks him with a monster right hand! Perez topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Luciano dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Luciano!
