Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Williams!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May stuffs the takedown.
May goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Brian Williams has been cut.
May tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
May tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.

May gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Williams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as May walks away with a smile on his face. Williams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Williams avoids the head kick by May.

May shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but May finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This has been an exciting period of action!
May tries to stand and escape but Williams actually recovers to full guard.
May would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Williams holds on and takes a little breather.

Brian Williams has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Williams lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as May backs up against the cage.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? May is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, May circles away and we're back to standing.
Luke May has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Williams.
Williams dives in and grabs May's left leg, looking for a takedown. May pushes down on Williams's head and hops out.
Williams throws a nice looking combination but May bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Williams forces May back against the cage and clinches.

May really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

May has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Williams uses from the top position.

Williams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of May is proving hard to escape from.
May can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Williams controls the pace.
