Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luis Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos gets a double leg takedown into Gracie's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Santos trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully.
Gracie seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Luis Santos has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Santos gets the takedown into side control.
Santos trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Santos's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is trying to control but can't.

Santos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gracie is looking for a sweep. Santos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Luis Santos.
Santos bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Santos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Santos is now in Gracie's guard.
Santos wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Gracie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Santos should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Santos should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A less than humble Carlos Gracie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
