Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zoran Hribar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie goes for a double leg but Hribar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hribar continues to drive forward.
Hribar tries to break the clinch but Gracie is controlling the position.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Hribar won't allow it.
Gracie avoiding damage as Hribar throws knees to the body.
Hribar is looking to break free of the clinch but Gracie has double underhooks.
Gracie wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hribar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hribar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Zoran Hribar will probably get the nod.

Hribar shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hribar's waist but Hribar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hribar walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hribar shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Hribar to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gracie misses with a body shot.

Hribar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
Hribar is trying to force a seperation but Gracie has the dominant position.

Hribar prevents the takedown attempt.
Hribar is trying to break the clinch but Gracie has him pressed against the cage.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Hribar stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Hribar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gracie jumps guard but Hribar turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Hribar is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
A frustrated look appears on Hribar's face as he tries to break the clinch.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hribar has a hand on Gracie's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Gracie takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie prevents Hribar from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie leaves Hribar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hribar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Hribar moves out of range easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zoran Hribar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hribar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
