PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gusandall Ingunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davos Seaworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ingunn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is BKJN vs Partyraiser. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gusandall Ingunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Davos Seaworth!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seaworth digs a good hook to Ingunn's body.
Seaworth just misses with a punch to the body.

Seaworth gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ingunn gets control of Seaworth's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ingunn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ingunn pulls Seaworth in close to prevent any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ingunn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Seaworth doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Seaworth manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Seaworth wants to control from the top but Ingunn keeps moving.

Seaworth is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ingunn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Seaworth won't allow Ingunn to get back to his feet.
Seaworth trying to control but Ingunn is working from the bottom.

Seaworth drops back looking for a leg! Ingunn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ingunn manages to kick Seaworth off! Seaworth jumps back into Ingunn's guard.

Seaworth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ingunn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ingunn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ingunn tries to get out of the position.
Seaworth is looking to stand up but Ingunn won't let him.
Ingunn controls Seaworth momentarily but Seaworth frees himself.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Seaworth working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Seaworth seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Davos Seaworth hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ingunn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Seaworth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ingunn moves away.

Ingunn is looking to clinch but Seaworth is avoiding it.
Seaworth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ingunn was well out of range. Poor timing from Seaworth.
Ingunn throws a series of punches but Seaworth moves out of range.
Seaworth scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ingunn doesn't seem bothered though.

Ingunn closes the distance and clinches.
Seaworth dodges an elbow strike from Ingunn.

Seaworth jumps guard and drags Ingunn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Seaworth controls Ingunn momentarily but Ingunn frees himself.

Ingunn wants to control from the top but Seaworth keeps moving.
Ingunn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seaworth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ingunn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seaworth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ingunn has managed to get both his arms back between Seaworth's legs - danger averted.

Ingunn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Seaworth is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ingunn, into his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Seaworth sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davos Seaworth dominated that round.
That's time! Ingunn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Seaworth misses with a wild combination.
Ingunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ingunn wants to clinch but Seaworth slips to the side
and Ingunn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ingunn tries to close the distance and clinch but Seaworth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ingunn tries to clinch but Seaworth is having none of it.
Ingunn wants to clinch.
Seaworth throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ingunn moves in looking to clinch but Seaworth pushes him off.
Ingunn is looking to clinch but Seaworth is avoiding it.

Ingunn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ingunn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Seaworth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Seaworth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Seaworth!

Seaworth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Seaworth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seaworth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ingunn has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ingunn tries to buck Seaworth off but Seaworth is having none of it.

Seaworth wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ingunn, who protects the arm well.
Ingunn is looking to regain half guard here but Seaworth keeps moving and retains side control.

Seaworth wants to take a breather but Ingunn manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Seaworth.
Davos Seaworth has got the better of the ground game so far.

Seaworth is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ingunn is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ingunn has escaped and now he's on top!

Ingunn has gone for a leg lock! Seaworth slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ingunn's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ingunn is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gusandall Ingunn will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Ingunn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Seaworth manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Seaworth is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ingunn rather than just go for the knockout.
Ingunn moves in looking to clinch but Seaworth pushes him off.

Ingunn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Seaworth shoots in for a takedown but Ingunn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Seaworth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Ingunn is looking to clinch but Seaworth is avoiding it.
Seaworth keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ingunn is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Seaworth dives in and grabs Ingunn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ingunn pushes down on Seaworth's head and hops out.
Gusandall Ingunn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ingunn is trying to break free.

Ingunn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Seaworth throws a body punch but Ingunn moves out of range.
Ingunn ducks right into an uppercut from Seaworth.
Ingunn jabs Seaworth to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ingunn misses with a series of wild punches.
Ingunn tries to clinch up but Seaworth circles away and keeps his distance.
Ingunn shoots in and drives through. Seaworth sprawls well.
Ingunn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Seaworth doesn't manage to clinch there - Ingunn circles away.
Ingunn throws a series of punches but Seaworth moves out of range.
Ingunn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ingunn manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Seaworth on his heels. He'll look to pass Seaworth's guard now, I'm sure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Seaworth had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ingunn defends it easily.

Ingunn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Seaworth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ingunn throws an elbow that misses. Seaworth uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ingunn's guard. Nice move by Seaworth!
Ingunn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Seaworth in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Davos Seaworth.
I think Seaworth has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
