Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pj Veenstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerzy Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerzy Killer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pj Veenstra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerzy Killer!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veenstra chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Killer can pounce on him.

Veenstra closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Killer quickly recovers to half guard.

Killer is defending against the submission attempts here by Veenstra.
Killer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Veenstra is working away from the top position though.

Veenstra looking for a submission but Killer manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Veenstra tries to free his leg and advance position but Killer is retaining full guard.

Veenstra is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Killer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Killer has escaped and now he's on top!

Veenstra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Killer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Veenstra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Killer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Veenstra has his foot on Killer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Killer works his way back into a safe position though.
Veenstra doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Veenstra might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Veenstra wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Killer is now in half guard.
Veenstra is looking for a sweep. Killer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Veenstra is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Pahuyuth Muay Thai 12 elite coaches that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Veenstra wants to control but Killer is keeping busy and won't allow it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Killer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Killer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Veenstra wants to control but Killer is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Donk. Killer catches Veenstra right on the button with a cross.
Killer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Killer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Veenstra shoots in but no luck this time.
Veenstra shoots in looking for a takedown. Killer tries to sprawl out of it but Veenstra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Veenstra takes one to the side of the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Veenstra swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Killer is now in Veenstra's guard. A big mistake from Veenstra there, giving up the dominant position!

Veenstra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jerzy Killer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Veenstra has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
