The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - Gruber throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Doinel takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Gruber gets caught flat footed, as Doinel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Doinel with a flurry of punches that miss.
Doinel is looking to work some ground and pound but Gruber has wrist control.
Gruber wants to stand and escape but Doinel is having none of it.
Doinel throws a big right hand that misses.

Doinel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gruber's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gruber's back!
Well, with Doinel on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Gruber is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Doinel somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Gruber is trying to get back to his feet but Doinel has full control of the position and if anything, Gruber has just worked his way into a worse spot.
