Mcweedy's entrance music is James Brown - I feel good.. A fine choice. The key to victory for Stoney Mcweedy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcweedy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jenkins but Jenkins pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jenkins darts in and clinches Mcweedy up against the cage.

Mcweedy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mcweedy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mcweedy is fighting to break Jenkins's control of his arms but Jenkins is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcweedy's guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mcweedy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mcweedy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jenkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jenkins instigates a clinch.
Mcweedy is pressed up against the cage. Jenkins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcweedy down to the mat. Mcweedy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from Jenkins. No joy for Mcweedy on that attempt.
