PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mannyac Pac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by we right here. Mike Lie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Lie!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pac manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pac shoots in but Lie avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pac really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pac shoots for a double leg takedown but Lie sprawls well. He's pushed Pac's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Pac counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pac.

Lie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pac tries a head kick but it misses.
Pac misses with a takedown attempt - Lie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pac is breathing heavily.
Pac throws a right and a left that both miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pac wants to clinch.
Lie throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Lie dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pac's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mannyac Pac will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mannyac Pac.
