Thug avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Thug makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Thug throws a sloppy head kick and Poirier moves out of range easily.
Peter Poirier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thug lands a nice leg kick that just misses Poirier's sensitive parts.

Poirier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thug moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Thug counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Poirier tries to keep at a distance but Thug has taken the fight into the clinch.

Thug manages to break the clinch.
Thug lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Poirier out cold! Poirier is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
