The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorva tries to clinch but Gonzaga is having none of it.

Gonzaga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gonzaga lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lorva has his foot on Gonzaga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gonzaga works his way back into a safe position though.

Gonzaga seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gonzaga lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gonzaga looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Gonzaga throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lorva has his hands clasped together but Gonzaga breaks the hold and Lorva is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gonzaga!

After the fight, Antonio Dos Santos Gonzaga was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
