Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mary Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by enter the dragon theme song. Ray Parker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ray Parker!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barron wants it to stay on the feet.
Parker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barron tries to avoid it but Parker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barron to the ground. Barron escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barron is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Parker forces Barron back against the cage and clinches.
Barron has Parker pressed against the cage, preventing Parker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Parker wants to take the fight to the mat but Barron manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Barron drives through and clinches with Parker against the cage.

Parker jumps guard but Barron stands there with Parker around his waist. Parker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Parker is trying to push Barron away but Barron has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Barron breaks from the clinch.
Parker throws a low kick but it's checked well by Barron.

Barron lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Parker backwards.

Barron has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Parker uses from the top position.

Barron kicks Parker off and gets to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Barron counters with a nice body kick.
Barron throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Parker's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Mary Barron will probably get the nod.

Parker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Parker distracts Barron with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Barron wants to sweep here but Parker controlling him for the moment.

Parker wants to get up but he can't break Barron's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Parker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
