Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Wiatrzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolan's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan clobbers Wiatrzyk with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Wiatrzyk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nolan is looking to get back to full guard here but Wiatrzyk has managed to pass to side control instead.
Wiatrzyk tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Nolan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wiatrzyk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wiatrzyk cracks Nolan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wiatrzyk is working for a guillotine from mount but Nolan frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wiatrzyk stands up from mount. Strange move.
Nolan shoots for a takedown but Wiatrzyk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Wiatrzyk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nolan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wiatrzyk is in Nolan's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nolan is working an open guard so Wiatrzyk takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nolan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Wiatrzyk tightens his grip and picks Nolan up, before dumping him to the ground. Nolan manages to land in guard.

Wiatrzyk slaps away a takedown attempt from Nolan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Wiatrzyk pulls guard effortlessly.
We've been hearing good reports from Nolan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wiatrzyk has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Nolan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Wiatrzyk is taking a breather. Nolan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Let's hope that Wiatrzyk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Wiatrzyk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Nolan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wiatrzyk is working away from the top position though.
Wiatrzyk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mack Wiatrzyk was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nolan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wiatrzyk swivels and escapes.

Nolan swings wildly with an uppercut but Wiatrzyk uses good head movement to avoid it.

Nolan goes for a double leg but Wiatrzyk avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wiatrzyk continues to drive forward.

Wiatrzyk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well Wiatrzyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
