Nix is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso. Travis Knight could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joey Nix's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nix has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Knight is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nix wants to land a leg kick but Knight is out of range.

Knight gets tackled into the cage by Nix. Nix maintains the clinch.

Nix manages to break the clinch.

and Nix makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Knight checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Nix looks to land a right hand but Knight moved out of range.

Knight is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nix.

Knight closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nix to the mat! Nix manages to get full guard.

Knight tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nix defends well and Knight ends up having to push Nix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Knight jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nix walks away with a smile on his face. Knight gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Knight dives in and grabs Nix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nix pushes down on Knight's head and hops out.

and Nix counters with a nice uppercut.
Nix throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Knight on the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
