Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aston Petty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chucky Ouellette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chucky Ouellette is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petty looks for a takedown but Ouellette sprawls well.
Ouellette throws a leg kick
and Petty counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Petty darts in looking for a takedown but Ouellette gets double underhooks and turns Petty into the cage.
Ouellette lands an uppercut.
Petty wants to take the fight to the mat but Ouellette manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aston Petty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Petty tries to break the clinch but Ouellette is controlling the position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ouellette.
Ouellette misses with a hook to the ribs.
Petty goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ouellette prevents it.

Petty manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Petty wants to stand and escape but Ouellette is having none of it.

Ouellette wants to stand but Petty has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Aston Petty just wasn't active enough.
Petty darts in looking for a takedown but Ouellette gets double underhooks and turns Petty into the cage.
Petty is trying to push Ouellette away but Ouellette has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Petty is breathing heavily.
Ouellette misses with a hook from the clinch.
Petty is looking for a takedown.
Ouellette lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Petty wants to stall.
Ouellette tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ouellette has a couple of punches blocked by Petty.

Ouellette lands a hook that snaps the head of Petty backwards.
Ouellette misses with a punch to the body.

Ouellette breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Petty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ouellette tries to avoid it but Petty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ouellette to the ground. Ouellette escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ouellette, as that shot connected.

It looks like Aston Petty has been cut.

Ouellette connects with the punch.
Petty moves forwards but Ouellette connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ouellette tries to land a leg kick but Petty saw it coming and moves away.
Ouellette is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
BOOM! Ouellette lands a beautiful left hook that drops Petty. Petty tries to recover but Ouellette is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Petty lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
