Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pistone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Glenn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pistone comes to the cage accompanied by Bonobo - The Sicilians. The crowd seem to be enjoying Glenn's choice of entrance music: Seven Nation Army. Keith Glenn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Pistone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keith Glenn!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glenn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice body kick from Pistone.
Pistone lands a nice looking body kick.
Glenn throws a hook to the side of Pistone's head but Pistone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Glenn.
Glenn slips under a jab from Pistone.
Pistone throws a low kick but it's checked well by Glenn.
A shot to the liver by Pistone. Beautiful body shot.
Pistone bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Pistone with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Glenn to score with a decent uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Glenn checks a low kick from Pistone.
Pistone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Glenn moves away.

Pistone connects with a crisp jab.
Joe Pistone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Glenn is defended easily by Pistone.

Pistone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Pistone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Glenn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pistone.

Glenn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pistone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Glenn postures up in Pistone's guard and throws a big left but Pistone blocks it.
Pistone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Glenn manages to get himself to full guard.

Pistone is really struggling to control Glenn but he's trying to hold on to the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Joe Pistone wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pistone throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pistone tries to work over Glenn's front leg with a kick but Glenn checks it.
Glenn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Glenn throws a series of punches but Pistone moves out of range.
Glenn moves out of range as Pistone throws a body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pistone.

Glenn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pistone, right into the meat.
Pistone throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Glenn avoids a kick to the body.
Pistone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Glenn.
Pistone throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Glenn is defended easily by Pistone.
Pistone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Glenn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Glenn shoots in and drives through. Pistone sprawls well.
Pistone is looking to slow Glenn down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Glenn fails with the takedown.
Pistone tries to land a front kick but Glenn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Glenn blocks a low kick nicely.
Glenn goes for a double leg but Pistone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pistone continues to drive forward.
Glenn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pistone pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joe Pistone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Glenn.
Pistone is looking to slow Glenn down with leg kicks.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pistone.
Glenn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pistone thumps Glenn with a low kick.
Glenn is breathing heavily.
Glenn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Pistone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Glenn.
Glenn on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pistone. Pistone obviously looking to wear him down.
Joe Pistone is winning the standup battle so far.
Pistone cracks a nice hook into Glenn's ribs.
Pistone connects with a right hand. Glenn shakes it off.

Glenn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Glenn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pistone is looking to regain half guard here but Glenn keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Who's going to make the next move?
Pistone struggling a bit here.
Pistone is looking for a sweep.

The ground and pound from Glenn seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Pistone is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Glenn off and has taken his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Glenn just trying to survive but Pistone is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Pistone is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Glenn defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Glenn is trying to defend against the choke here but Pistone has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pistone Tightens the hold and Glenn taps out furiously! Pistone displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Pistone!
Joe Pistone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
