Boreling has chosen More than meets the eye as his entrance music. Karl Boreling is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Kilgore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karl Boreling!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boreling doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kilgore counters with a left and a right that stings Boreling.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Boreling has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kilgore misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kilgore has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Boreling shoots in for a takedown but Kilgore shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Boreling throws a lazy right hand but Kilgore sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kilgore avoids the body shot from Boreling.
Boreling fails with the takedown.
Dustin Kilgore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Boreling.
Boreling shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kilgore pinned against the cage. Kilgore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Boreling dives in and scores a takedown into Kilgore's guard.

Kilgore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boreling gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boreling postures up and lands a big shot to Kilgore's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boreling throwing strikes but missing.
Boreling throws an elbow that misses. Kilgore uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boreling's guard. Nice move by Kilgore!
Kilgore stops Boreling from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boreling is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boreling's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kilgore stopping the sweep attempt from Boreling.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Karl Boreling hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Boreling missing with a left hand there. Kilgore was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boreling tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kilgore defends well and Boreling ends up having to push Kilgore into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Boreling blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Boreling turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boreling manages to end up in side control.
Kilgore gets back to half guard.
Kilgore is trying to get back to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kilgore is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Boreling scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boreling drops an elbow to the side of Kilgore's head.
Kilgore is trying to get back to full guard.

Boreling looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Boreling is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kilgore has managed to free his arm - good work.
Boreling not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boreling lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boreling connects with a nice short shot to Kilgore's temple.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kilgore is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Boreling scores with a couple of nice shots.

Kilgore is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Boreling pulls his head out easily.
Boreling winds up and cracks Kilgore with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boreling lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Kilgore! More strikes land and this one is all over! Boreling jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Boreling!
During a confident post fight interview, Karl Boreling thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
