PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Jackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kira Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kato's choice of entrance music: MAD WORLD by Gary Jules. Hugh Jackman had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato misses with an uppercut. Jackman saw that one coming.
Jackman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Jackman has closed the distance and engaged Kato in a clinch.
Kato is looking to take this one to the mat.
Kato blocks the elbow strike.
Jackman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kato avoids it.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kato has eaten all the pies!
With the fighters up against the cage, Jackman throws an elbow but misses.
Kato managing to block the knees to the body from Jackman.
Jackman tries to land knees in the clinch but Kato avoids the damage to the body.

Jackman manages to break the clinch.
Kato takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kato tries for a takedown but Jackman circles away easily

and Jackman counters with a takedown into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kato gets back to half guard.
Kato is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackman's back!
Kato really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jackman.

Jackman won't enjoy being in this position. Kato looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Jackman is tapping - it's over boys! Kato picks up the submission victory!
