Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sid Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage comes to the cage accompanied by the scatman. Mayo has chosen Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever as his entrance music. Chris Mayo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Savage to score with a decent uppercut.
Savage connects with a looping right hand.
Savage tries to land a front kick but Mayo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Savage shoots in for a double leg but Mayo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Savage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mayo throws out the jab.
Mayo scores with a shot to the body.
Mayo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mayo uses his free foot to push down on Savage's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Savage.
Savage is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Mayo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Savage is looking to escape.

Savage's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Oh Savage is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
