PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Real American. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevsky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Hogan counters with a stiff right hand.
Nevsky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hogan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Nevsky. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head punch on the inside from Hogan fails to land.
Hogan lands a nice uppercut.
Hogan misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hogan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hogan holding his opponent close, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hogan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hogan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hogan throws a head punch that misses.
Hogan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Nevsky's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A nice left hand lands by Hogan.
Our sources have told us that Nevsky has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Hogan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Still in the clinch, Hogan scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hogan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nevsky backwards.
Nice body punch from Hogan - that landed with a thud.
Nevsky is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hogan.

Hogan drops Nevsky onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Nevsky is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Nevsky is rocked!
Hogan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nevsky backwards.
Oh Nevsky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hogan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Hogan presses Nevsky against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Nevsky seems to have got his legs back now.
Hogan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Hogan throws a big uppercut that drops Nevsky! More strikes from Hogan and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Nevsky lies dazed against the cage as Hogan celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hulk Hogan!
A very excited looking Hulk Hogan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Alexander Nevsky had this to say: 'Well ... what can I say ... my opponent was better than me tonight and congratulations for him! But I will come back strong and better prepared next time and put on a show for you guys !!!!'.
